Therapeutic Philosophy

I see therapy as a space where your strengths are recognized and your unique journey is honored. Everyone’s path to healing and growth looks different, and my goal is to provide the focused, personalized support that helps you move forward at your own pace. In our work together, I use a mix of evidence-based approaches that have been shown to help, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and creative tools like play and art therapy. These methods are here to help you gain insight, build resilience, and create lasting change. The following core beliefs guide how I approach therapy and the care I offer:

-I believe therapy works best when it’s a partnership. I’ll collaborate with you to understand your needs and empower you to take an active role in your treatment.

-Therapy is most effective when you take what you learn in our sessions and apply it to your daily life. Together, we’ll practice tools and techniques to help you build confidence using them outside of therapy.

- My approach is strengths-based, meaning we’ll focus on your unique abilities and resources to help you reach your goals. I’ll encourage you to explore new tools, skills, and perspectives that promote personal growth, while using your past experiences to deepen your understanding of your relationships, behaviors, and emotions.

 - I believe healing happens through connection. Together, we’ll build a trusting and collaborative relationship where open communication supports your growth and well-being.

-I bring humor and compassion into therapy, believing they are key to creating a supportive and healing environment.

-I’m here to support you in improving your quality of life. I know that everyone’s journey is unique, and I use a variety of tools to help you grow and heal. Some changes come quickly, while others take time, and I’ll be with you every step of the way as you work through your experiences and challenges.

-I recognize that some aspects of our work together may be challenging and evoke difficult emotions. I am committed to supporting you as you navigate these experiences on your path toward personal growth and self-fulfillment.
